DAY 1 Monday 10 May Dinner 

Depart Seaford Hotel 7 am and we travel on the Calder Highway leaving Melbourne behind us. Stopping for morning tea at Wedderburn, then lunch before we reach our accommodation in Mildura.Time to freshen up for dinner at our accommodation. 


DAY 2 Tuesday 11 May Breakfast/Dinner 

8 am After breakfast, we head off to the Mildura Arts Centre,199 Cureton Ave, Mildura. It is the leading arts cultural hub of North West Victoria. Included in our visit are the Rio Vista Historic House, Galleries and Sculpture Park. From here we have just a short drive to the Mildura Station Homestead, which is a recreation of the first home built in Mildura in 1847. It consists of the homestead, outbuildings, the woolshed and rose garden. It was here that the Chaffey vision for the irrigation colony evolved. The first irrigation pumping for grape vines occurred at this site. The homestead tells the story of the Chaffey family’s early domestic and business life in Mildura. 

We then travel into the town centre for lunch (own cost). Before we head home, we visit the Old Wentworth Gaol, which is a reminder of those harsh days. Souvenirs available. Then dinner at Workman's Club. 


DAY3 Wednesday 12 May Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 

8 am After breakfast, we depart our motel at 9.30 and head to the Mildura Paddle Steamer which offers a relaxing 2 hour cruise. A comprehensive live commentary is provided, giving an educational insight on the Murray Darling River System. A light lunch of sandwiches, tea and coffee is ovided on board. The vessel is also fully licenced. From here we ravel to Trentham Estate Winery for a wine tasting and a chance to purchase a bottle or two. Trentham Estate has a rich history that the Murphy family has a proudly continued from one generation to the next. Dinner tonight is at the Mildura Workman's Club. 


DAY 4 Thursday 13 May Breakfast/Dinner 

8 am After breakfast, we travel to Orange World with a guided train tour and commentary through the orchard and avocado canopy, look-out tower, nursery talk, orange tastings and a cup of freshly squeezed juice. There is an opportunity to purchase some of their fresh products, orange blossom honey, sultanas, pistachios and almonds and more. Lunch (own expense) will be at Little Kim café. From here we will visit Woodsies Gems. We see Aladdin’s cave and extensive collection of crystals, fossils and carvings. Dinner tonight is at our Motel. 


DAY 5 Friday 14 May Breakfast 

An early breakfast at 6 am before heading home to Melbourne, departing 7 am. Comfort stops on the way. As we journey home, we hope you have enjoyed your stay in Mildura. With good company, a great driver, accommodation and entertainment, we have tried to make your trip a memorable one and hope you have made new friends.
